Planning Application lodged for Wicklow PCC

A planning application has been lodged for the proposed Primary Care Centre planned for Wicklow. Located about 1km from Wicklow Town, on the raod towards Rathnew, this centre shall be one of the largest in the country. It shall include approx. 54000sq.ft. accommodation. In addition to HSE services such as Public Health Nursing, Social Work, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, there also shall be a dedicated Mental Health facility. In addition, an early intervention unit shall be provided.
In addition to HSE, four Local GP practices have agreed to relocate to the centre. Provision shall be allowed for private medical including diagnostics, physiotherapists etc.
The centre is planned to open in early 2012, and is being developed by a local builder, Jimmy Esmonde together with his sons Niall and Earnan.
